CBM Activity Report

The report summarizes the number and appropriation amounts for the surface water, ground water and coal bed methane applications and permits within selected watersheds.

To Generate CBM Activity Report:

• Select HUCs.  

  • HUC Hydrologic Unit Code: The Hydrologic Unit system is a standardized watershed classification system developed by USGS in the mid 1970s. Hydrologic units are watershed boundaries organized in a nested hierarchy by size is Hydrologic Unit Code (2 to 12-digit number)

  HUCs can be selected using the following three ways:

   

  1. Using Get Basin

     • Click Get Basin.

     • Click the exact location of the HUC on map.

     • HUC Name and Number are populated in the grid above.

     NOTE: Multiple HUCs can be selected. Selections will be listed one after the other in the grid.

      

  2. Using GIS

     • Zoom to the HUC location on the map manually using GIS tools proivded to the left.

     • Click Get HUC.

     • Click on the HUC location.

     • HUC Name and Number are populated in the grid above.

     NOTE: Multiple HUCs can be selected. Selections will be listed one after the other in the grid.  

      

  3. Zooming to HUC

     • Select HUC option listed under Zoom to My Location section.

     • Select HUC from the drop-down list. selected.

     • Click Zoom.

     NOTE: Click Cancel to exit without zooming.

     • Map zooms to the selected HUC.

     • Click Get Basin.

     • Click the HUC location on map.

     • HUC Name and Number are populated in the grid above.

     NOTE: Multiple HUCs can be selected. Selections will be listed one after the other in the grid.  

   

• Click Get Report.

NOTE: Click Reset to clear previous selections.

• e-Permit displays the CBM activity report in a new window with the following details:

• • Number of Active applications

  • Number of Existing permits

  • Amount of water appropriated (measured in gpm) in active GW applications

  • Amount of water appropriated (measured in acre-feet) in active SW applications

  • Amount of water in appropriated (measured in gpm) in existing GW permits

  • Amount of water in appropriated (measured in acre-feet) existing SW permits
