GIS Help

The purpose of geographic information system (GIS) is to facilitate the data collection required to complete an application.

Maps can be created that show existing water right features (points of diversion, wells, points of use, reservoirs), cadastral information (PLSS and government owned properties), streams, roads, administrative areas (counties, SEO divisions and districts), USGS quadrangles, and/or digital orthophotographs.  In addition, selected attributes associated with these mapped features can be queried.

NOTE: The geographic coordinates of the cursor position are always shown in the lower left hand corner of your screen.  These coordinates are in the North American Datum of 1983 and are displayed in decimal degrees (X is longitude and Y is latitude).
